2010 Meeting Introduction

American Spinal Injury Association announced its 36th Annual Scientific Meeting to be held from May 25-28, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) will conduct its 36th Annual Scientific Meeting at the Sheraton Music City in Nashville, Tennessee, from May 25-28, 2010.

A one day pre-course will be taught by ASIA experts in neurological and autonomic standards in spinal cord injury from the ASIA eLearning Programs entitled InSTeP and ASTeP on Tuesday, May 25th.   Certification will be available at the conclusion of the course for all participants.

The three day ASIA meeting will follow, from Wednesday through Friday, May 26th-28th.   Special features will include the G. Heiner Sell Memorial Lectureship, an Instructional Course on Advocacy in SCI, the Spine Symposium for orthopedic and neurological surgeons, as well as additional instructional courses, multiple themed general sessions, and electronic scientific posters.   Category I CMEs will be offered through a co-sponsorship of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.   Awards will be given in the following categories: The Apple Award for Excellence in Publication; The Best Published Paper (in 2009) by an ASIA Member; The Lifetime Achievement Award; The Alan Brown Research Award; The Sam Schmidt Foundation/Sell Fund of ASIA Young Investigator Research Grant; and The Synthes Award.
