2012 Annual Meeting - Electronic Poster Guidelines
** If you have been notified that your abstract has been selected, the deadline for reviewing and submitting the final version is JANUARY 24, 2012.
Sample Abstract Format
If your electronic poster has been accepted for presentation, please submit it using the guidelines given on this page via email to Janice Tilley at Janice_Tilley@shepherd.org. (Note that there is a single underscore between Janice and Tilley in this e-mail address.) The submission deadline is MARCH 9, 2012. Please note that once the deadline of MARCH 9, 2012 has passed, we will no longer accept electronic posters, and abstracts will not be published. Please follow instructions carefully and do not change the size of the e-poster template as this is designed to fit perfectly on the screen.
Thank you for accepting an invitation to present an electronic poster at the 2012 Annual ASIA Meeting. Preparing an electronic poster is a little different from conventional posters. As this is a new format it is sensible to allow additional preparation time. Leaving the submission process too close to the deadline runs the risk of a poorly prepared poster. Typical errors include incorrectly labeled images or incorrectly placed captions. You will be permitted to submit a PowerPoint slide the exact way you submit to a printer. This slide would contain the same content that you would display on a printed poster board display.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING YOUR ELECTRONIC POSTER
When creating your PowerPoint electronic poster, the preferred Font is
Verdana at a 16 point font size MINIMUM. You can could also include
Tahoma, Helvetica, or Trebuchet MS fonts all at a 16 point MINIMUM font size.
We recommend you submit the poster as a PowerPoint file rather than a PDF. This way if there are glaring mistakes with the formatting we can attempt to correct them. The posters need to be 26.67 inches wide by 15.00 inches tall and in a landscape format. Please follow instructions carefully. These instructions are to make the PowerPoint presentations ready for presentation. There will be NO audio on these presentations.
Please submit your electronic posters via email to Janice Tilley at janice_tilley@shepherd.org. Submission deadline is MARCH 9, 2012. Additionally, once the deadline of MARCH 9, 2012 has passed it will not be possible to submit your electronic poster. If you have questions, concerns or if you are unable to provide the file in the format requested please let us know as soon as possible. PLEASE do not change the size of the e-poster template, as it is sized and designed to fit the presentations screens.
