North American Spine Society Research Funding Available
The North American Spine Society (NASS) is the leading multidisciplinary medical organization representing caregivers and research scientists in the field of spinal disorders. NASS supports basic, clinical and translational science performed with integrity. The goal is to improve quality spine care for patients and understanding of underlying disorders. NASS membership is not required to apply for funding.

Research Grants
For investigative research on the spine
Young Investigator Grants for Investigative Research on the Spine
Principal investigators may be any age, but must be within five years of completion of training at the time of application
Nontraditional, Nonsurgical Treatment Grants
Supports research of disc-related and/or neuropathic back pain by
nonsurgical techniques
Clinical Traveling Fellowship
At least one month must be spent in three to five different medical centers studying spine techniques
Research Traveling Fellowship
At least five months must be spent at one medical center (other than the facility at which the applicant currently practices)
Deadline: Letters of Proposal accepted via e-mail only: February 1, 2010.
Fellowship applications: May 3, 2010.
